Savoury Oats Dalia

Ingredients:

  • ¼ cup dalia –soaked in water for atleast 1 hour or more
  • ½ cup oats
  • 1 cup- vegetable- onion, carrots, capsicum, cauliflower
  • 1 green chilli-deseeded& chopped
  • ¼ tsp black pepper powder
  • 1 tsp finely chopped ginger
  • 1 tej patta
  • ¼ tsp haldi powder
  • ¼ tsp red chilli powder
  • Salt- acc.to taste
  • 1 ½ tsp lemo juice
  • 2 tbsp chopped coriander
  • ¼ tsp garam masala

Method:

  • Wash and soak dalia in enough water for about an hour.
  • Heat 1 tsp oil in a non stick kadhai or a pan.Add ½ tsp jeera.let it turn golden.
  • Add ginger.green chilli,tej patta,black pepper together.reduce flame.
  • Sauté onion for 2 minutes. Then add other half boiled vegetables.saute them again on medium flame.
  • Add oats.saute and stir for 1 minute.
  • Drain dalia through fine strainer. Stir roast for 2 minutes.add ½ cup water and mix.
  • Cover wid lid and cook further for 3-4 minutes.stir occasionally in between.
  • Remove from fire.mix in the lemon juice,coriander and garam masala.serve hot.
