Yogurt Fish

Ingredients:

  • Yogurt – 2 cups
  • Maida – 1/4 cup
  • Onion – 1
  • Ginger – a small piece
  • Chilli powder – 2 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder – 1/2 tbsp
  • Cumin powder – 1 tbsp
  • Sugar – 1 tbsp
  • Salt – as needed
  • Bay leaf – 1
  • Cinnamon – a small stick
  • Cardamom – 1
  • Mustard oil – as needed

Method:

  • Cut fish into pieces, roll in maida and set aside.
  • Heat enough oil in a roasting pan.
  • Add fish, roast till golden and set aside.
  • Cut onion, ginger finely.
  • Heat oil in a roasting pan.
  • Add bay leaf, cinnamon, cardamom, onion, ginger, and roast for a few minutes.
  • Add chilli powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, salt, stir, add yogurt.
  • When oil floats above, add fish, sugar, cook on a medium flame for 5 minutes and switch off stove.
