Chilled Mushrooms And Capsicum Salad

Ingredients:

  • Onions, thinly sliced
  • Capsicum, thinly sliced
  • Mushrooms, thinly sliced
  • Oil
  • Zeera (cumin seeds)
  • Skimmed milk powder
  • Sirka (vinegar)
  • Mustard powder, paste salt
  • Black pepper powder
  • Some greens for garnish

Method:

  • Mix the milk,mustard powder,salt and pepper into a paste, adding water if required.
  • Heat oil in a large pan; add the zeera. When the seeds start spluttering, add the onions and stir-roast over high heat till a little glossy in appearance.
  • Add the shimla mirch and mushrooms; continue to stir over high till mixed well and look wet but are firm. Keep aside to cool.
  • Mix the milk mixture into it and chill. Transfer to a serving dish, garnish with some greens, chill and serve.
