Mushroom Toast

Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp Butter (or Olive Oil)
  • 4-5 cloves Garlic, chopped
  • 1 Onion, chopped
  • 1 cup Mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 tsp Chili Flakes
  • ½ tsp Black Pepper Powder
  • 1 tsp Oregano
  • Salt, to taste
  • 2 tbsp Oats Powder
  • 1 cup Milk
  • Fresh Coriander, chopped (for garnish)
  • Sourdough Bread, toasted

Method:

  • Heat butter (or olive oil) in a pan over medium heat.
  • Add the chopped garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  • Add the chopped onion and cook until it turns golden.
  • Add the sliced mushrooms and cook until they soften.
  • Season with chili flakes, black pepper, oregano, and salt. Mix well.
  • Sprinkle in the oats powder and stir for a minute to combine.
  • Slowly add milk, stirring constantly to prevent lumps. Let the mixture thicken.
  • Remove from heat and garnish with chopped coriander.
  • Spoon the mushroom mixture over toasted sourdough bread
