Ingredients:
- Yogurt – 2 cups
- Maida – 1/4 cup
- Onion – 1
- Ginger – a small piece
- Chilli powder – 2 tbsp
- Turmeric powder – 1/2 tbsp
- Cumin powder – 1 tbsp
- Sugar – 1 tbsp
- Salt – as needed
- Bay leaf – 1
- Cinnamon – a small stick
- Cardamom – 1
- Mustard oil – as needed
Method:
- Cut fish into pieces, roll in maida and set aside.
- Heat enough oil in a roasting pan.
- Add fish, roast till golden and set aside.
- Cut onion, ginger finely.
- Heat oil in a roasting pan.
- Add bay leaf, cinnamon, cardamom, onion, ginger, and roast for a few minutes.
- Add chilli powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, salt, stir, add yogurt.
- When oil floats above, add fish, sugar, cook on a medium flame for 5 minutes and switch off stove.
