Dry Fruit Chaat

Ingredients:

  • 10 almonds
  • 10 cashewnuts
  • 10 pistachios
  • 10 raisins
  • 1 dates (seedless)
  • 3 walnut (whole)
  • 1 cup makhana (optional)
  • 1/3 cup sweet corn
  • 1/3 lotus seeds
  • 1 tbsp ghee
  • 5 tbsp chaat masala
  • 3/4 tbsp garam masala
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp cumin powder
  • Salt to taste

Garnish:

  • Melon seeds (roasted)
  • Coriander (finely chopped)

Method:

  • Soak the cashews, almonds and raisins separately in water for two hours.
  • Drain the water from all three.
  • Peel off the almond’s skin
  • Chop the Raisins finely.
  • Chop the dates, green chilli , coriander finely
  • Cut the pistachio into 2 and walnuts into 4 pieces.
  • Dry roast the lotus seeds in a pan till they are crisp and crunchy.
  • In a pan heat add 1 tbsp ghee. Add cashew and almonds and when they turn pink add the raisins. Stir for a minute and then add walnuts, pistachio and dates. Further add makhane, and roast it for 10 mins on low flame and remove it from pan and let it cool down for a while. Add 1 teaspoon of chaat masala, cumin powder, black salt and 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  • Mix all the ingredients in a bowl properly. Squeeze a lemon over the mixture and mix it again. When the lemon juice dries add roasted lotus seeds and chopped green chilly.
  • Garnish with roasted musk melon seeds and chopped coriander.
