One Pot Khichdi

One Pot Weight Loss Khichdi recipe!

Ingredients (Serves 2):

  • 2 tbsp toor dal
  • 2 tbsp masoor dal
  • 2 tbsp urad dal
  • 1/2 cup black chana (kala chana)
  • 1/2 cup tbsp rice
  • 1 cup chopped veggies (carrot, beans, bell peppers, capsicum, tomato)
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 tbsp mustard oil
  • 1 tsp jeera
  • ½ tsp mustard seeds
  • Few curry leaves
  • 1 tsp crushed ginger-garlic
  • 1-2 chopped green chillies
  • Salt, pepper & coriander powder to taste
  • 3-4 cups water

Method:

  1. Soak dals, chana & rice overnight.
  2. In a cooker, heat oil. Add jeera, mustard seeds & curry leaves.
  3. Add ginger-garlic, chillies & onion. Sauté well.
  4. Add veggies, tomatoes, spices.
  5. Add soaked ingredients and  water. Pressure cook for 4-5 whistles.
