Vrat Dosa

 

Note – You can skip the ingredients that you do not consume during your vrat.

Dosa Batter :

  • Sabudana ¼ Cup
  • Sama Rice ½ Cup
  • Boiled Potato 1 No. (diced)
  • Green Chilli 3 Nos.
  • Ginger 2 Inch
  • Curd 2 Tbsp
  • Sendha Namak To Taste
  • Water 2 Cups
  • Cumin Seeds A Pinch
  • Black Pepper Powder A Pinch
  • Fresh Coriander A Handful (chopped)
  • Ghee As Required

 

Dosa Method :

  1. Add the sabudana into a moderately hot pan & dry roast then while stirring for 3-4 minutes, then transfer it into a bowl & cool it down completely.
  2. Transfer the sabudana into a mixer grinder jar & add, sama, potato, green chilli, ginger, curd, sendha namak & water, grind it into a fine batter & transfer it into a bowl, add cumin seeds, black pepper powder & fresh coriander, stir well & let it rest for 5-10 minutes.
  3. Once rested, set a small nonstick pan over high flame & let it get extremely hot.
  4. Pour the batter using a ladle, the batter will form a net like structure in the pan.
  5. Once the dosa sets, add ghee & cook over low flame until crisp.

 

Chutney :

  • Fresh Coriander 1 Cup
  • Fresh Coconut ½ Cup (scraped)
  • Roasted Peanuts 1/3 Cup
  • Green Chilli 3 Nos.
  • Ginger 1 Inch
  • Sugar 2 Tsp
  • Lemon Juice Of ½ A Lemon
  • Sendha Namak To Taste
  • Water As Required
  • Ice Cube
  • Cumin Seeds ½ Tsp

 

Method :

  1. Add all the ingredients of the chutney into a mixer grinder jar & grind it into a fine chutney.

Aloo ki Sabzi Recipe

 

  1. Oil 2 Tbsp
  2. Cumin Seeds 1 Tsp
  3. Curry Leaves 10-12 Nos.
  4. Green Chilli 2-3 Nos. (Chopped)
  5. Ginger 2 Inch (grated)
  6. Potato 4 Nos. (boiled)
  7. Sendha Namak To Taste
  8. Black Pepper Powder ½ Tsp
  9. Sugar A Pinch
  10. Lemon Juice Of ½ A Lemon
  11. Fresh Coriander A Handful (chopped)

 

Method :

  1. Set a pan over high hea, add oil, let the oil heat up & add cumin, curry leaves, green chilli, grated ginger, stir & saute over high flame briefly.
  2. Roughly mash the potatoes with your hand & add them into the pan with sendha namak, black pepper powder, sugar, lemon juice & fresh coriander, stir well & cook over high flame for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Delicious vrat waali aloo ki sabzi is ready.
